The KanLovKids Project offers Low Vision Collaboration Clinics (LVCC) and Low Vision Collaboration Clinics+ (LVCC+) to children from ages birth through 21 who reside in Kansas. These clinics offer a functional and multidisciplinary approach. Parents, teachers, and therapists are encouraged to attend and bring questions. All services are supplementary to the student’s primary eye care provided by their local ophthalmologist or optometrist and it is important to keep regularly scheduled appointments.
View the video below (produced by Lions Club International) to see a description of the low vision process, the goals of the evaluation, and how it helps improve the lives of children who are visually impaired throughout the state of Kansas.
