I’m Just Like Everyone Else

The following is a note from Gracie Fisher. She is a sophomore at Southwest Baptist University. With her permission, her Facebook post is below.
ANOTHER EDUCATION POST: Yesterday almost every place we went, people stared at me and talked about me. Please DO NOT do this. I may not know about it at the time but I always find out about it later. It’s so frustrating that just because I can’t see, some people treat me so different than everyone else. I wish people would just understand that the ONLY difference between me and them is that I can’t see. THAT IS IT. Other than that, I’m JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.
If you see me out and you want to talk to me, go ahead! If you know me, you know I like to talk (most of the time lol). If you have questions, PLEASE ask them! I love to answer people’s questions! No question is dumb or stupid so please don’t worry about that! Just whatever you do, DO NOT STARE AT ME. Thank you!!
