A unique weekend experience providing opportunities for high school students from all over Kansas to learn skills in the expanded core curriculum. Twice a year, the KSSB campus is open to high school students from around the state to provide opportunities to learn skills in the expanded core curriculum. This is a very popular event and students look forward to attending in order to see old friends, meet new ones while developing and practicing a variety of skills. KCBAS Run/Walk

The Kansas City Blind All Stars Foundation sponsors an annual 5K Run/1 Mile Walk. The event raises funds to support activities and facilities at the Kansas State School for the Blind. KCBAS is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. To learn more, click the link below.
Annual Vision Symposium
This collaborative event with a Low Vision focus includes several breakout sessions for COMSs and TSVIs (including those in university training programs), instructional assistants and braillists, and other professionals working directly with students with a visual impairment. Space is limited so sign up early!
