Track Team Achieved Personal Goals

The track season provided every student the opportunity to set goals and work diligently to improve their skills on the field. Everyone worked to achieve their personal best. In doing so, they performed beyond their expectations, and learned that “effort” equals “results.” The more effort you put into life, the better your results.

It is nice to hear from two of the students – who shared their personal experiences during the 2019 fall track season.

My favorite reason for being a part of the track team was the practice. In practice, I tried and ultimately came out victorious at the conference. I want to thank my coaches and teammates for all of the positive feedback this track season. The track team was fun every day, even though it was very hard.

My track trip was quite fascinating, and I enjoyed the travel. I did the 1 mile tandem run, the 3Con Jump, the 60 and 600-meter runs. The tandem run was enjoyable. We did a good job, and we did manage to finish it. That was my main goal, and I met that this year! The 3Con jump was good. I finished it all and would like to do it again next year. The 600-meter run was good, and I think I finished 4th place or so. I did my best in the 60-meter race. I made it to finals and earned 4th place in the end. All in all, I would be glad to go on the next track trip.

The team placed eighth overall, and Chandler earned 1st place in the 60-meter race. However, each member of the team did their best and improved their skills. Ultimately – they enjoyed participating in their events and worked hard to improve their performance to support the KSSB Track and Field Team.
