Echoidentification in O&M

Event Description

In this session, Sarahelizabeth will walk you through the steps in teaching echoidentification to your students.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Sarahelizabeth Baguhn, PhD

Sarahelizabeth has worked itinerantly and in a residential school as a COMS, CATIS, and TVI. Her current research is focused on establishing reliability and validity of comprehensive O&M assessment tools. When not researching or teaching electronic travel aids, blindfold training, or other classes for WMU, she enjoys hiking the Appalachian Trail with friends, running 5Ks, and bowling. Dr. Baguhn serves on the board of directors for the Michigan Blind Athletic Association, the subject matter expert committee for Assistive Technology with ACVREP, as well as the advisory council for Audio Description. She has published in JVIB on techniques for teaching echoidentification in O&M, and assessment validation.
