Get Ready! Transition Program is Accepting Service Requests for the 2020-2021 Academic School Year
How to get started
As we head into the new school year, this is just a quick reminder that the KSSB Transition Program is accepting Service Requests from districts who have a student interested in attending the Transition Program next school year.
There are a number of steps involved; most importantly that the student and family tour KSSB, and that KSSB staff are able to meet with the student and family in the home community to identify goals to be addressed should they come.

We realize that a senior student’s spring semester goes fast and that the IEP team may be questioning what comes next.
Lori Smith, the Transition Specialist, is happy to visit your school to explain the program and answer questions. We are eager to help your IEP team determine if the KSSB Transition Program is a good fit for your students.
The sooner the better is the motto. If the student wants to attend the Transition Program and plans to enroll in college classes or Technical Education courses, there are several steps that need to occur prior to the end of the senior year.
Download and review the Transition Program Brochure. Share the information with interested staff, students, parents, and administrators.
